Danish rye bread chip company – Gillelay, has asked AsiaCorp to consult their way into Asia Pacific markets for their unique products.
Their story started all back in 2008, when restaurant owner, Anette, began baking her own rye bread in the restaurant, with the intention, of the guests buying it, to bring it back home. By time, the demand of the special homemade rye bread grew, and by the end of 2009, the first supermarket, came a long selling the special rye bread. – One became two, and now Gillelay delivers freshly baked rye bread every day, to more than 140 stores around Denmark.
In 2012, Anette got yet another good idea. In a period of time she had used rye bread croutons in some of the dishes, and the guests loved it. Therefore, there wasn’t far from thought to action. So in the course of one week, a new product “Rye Bread Chips” was one the way to the shops!
Rye is a very healthy type of wheat, which is grown in Northern Europe. Rye is a tough plant, which withstands a Nordic climate.
Gillelay bread chips can be enjoyed as snack/chips or as supplement to a glass of wine or a cold glass of beer. It also works well with different foods, such as soup, cheese, tapas, etc. A good supplement with a taste of the ’New Nordic Kitchen’, which in recent years has become known worldwide.
